KEEP YOUR GEAR IN OPTIMAL CONDITION
You rely on the quality of Canon cameras and lenses to help you make amazing images. To keep your camera gear in optimal condition, regular maintenance is needed. Canon’s Maintenance Service is here to help. Regardless of how careful you are with your gear, dust, debris, and wear are inevitable. From the active photographer to the casual amateur anyone can experience these effects which may lead to diminished image quality. To avoid this, we recommend periodically having your gear cleaned and checked by a Canon Factory Service Technician. Best of all, if during the CMS we find something that requires more than just a cleaning to correct, we will contact you with a description of the problem and what we recommend to fix it. You can be sure that your camera performs the way it was intended to and you can be ready for that perfect shot!
The services offered cover cleaning and maintenance of external components of the camera or lens, as well as the following internal components of the camera: image sensor, mirror, and focus screen. If, upon inspection, additional services are necessary which require the camera or lens body to be disassembled or parts to be replaced, this will be considered a repair and you will receive a repair estimate. In this case, any payment made previously for the Canon Maintenance Service will not be refunded. If you do not approve the repair estimate, repairs will not be made, your camera and/or lens will be returned to you and you will only incur charges for Canon Maintenance Service requested.
